Highrise shelving

It is common that when the land is scarce in a city then the next best thing is to build UP. Our apartment is no exception. In an effort to maxamize the living quarters of this cozy home we have gone up too. Now soaring high above our heads is a brand new shelving unit. The idea began late last year (2006) and have finally been realized. We have had plenty to do but just didn't think it was quite enough. Here are some pictures...

Rachel directs at one of our many visits to Home Depot.

Not much room. I place all the boards on the floor to make the initial structure and then raise it.

The shelving unit also has a built in desk for the computer.

And here it is! The whole thing with all our junk too. Books, stereo, computer, music equipment, scanner, printer, more books, cds, magazines, movies, and more books.
Hope you enjoyed our first update, more to come soon!

Way cool Trevee!
I had a fine time being toured around your New York life! Wish I could spend more time in your neck of the woods!
